Tranova ("the App") is developed by Ibrahim Tursun. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1 Data We Collect

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Email address and display name (for authentication)
  • Profile photo (stored as compressed image data, optional)
  • Travel preferences (interests, pace, budget, companion, age range)
  • Saved cities, visited places, trip dates, and plan notes

All data is linked to your account and stored in Google Firebase Firestore.

2 How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to provide the App's core functionality:

  • Authentication and account management
  • Personalized city recommendations based on your travel preferences
  • Saving and syncing your trip plans across devices
  • Showing notifications about your upcoming trips

We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

3 Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

  • Firebase Authentication & Firestore (Google) — for account management and data storage
  • Google Sign-In — as an optional authentication method
  • Sign in with Apple — as an optional authentication method
  • Open-Meteo — for anonymous weather data (no personal data is sent)

4 Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Firebase Firestore servers. Profile photos are stored as Base64-encoded data within your Firestore user document. All communication uses HTTPS encryption.

5 Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen. When you delete your account:

  • Your Firebase Authentication record is permanently removed
  • Your Firestore user document (preferences, trips, profile photo) is permanently deleted

6 Tracking & Analytics

The App does not track you across other apps or websites. We do not use advertising identifiers or analytics SDKs.

7 Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8 Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your data (visible in the App)
  • Delete your data (via account deletion in Profile)
  • Export your data (contact us)

9 Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always available within the App.
